COMMITEE FOR THE UPLIFTMENT OF THE MENTALLY ILL

Funding

The Board of Directors, Staff and Clients have a "Vision"-a society that cares for its sick, mentally ill and children. To sustain the services offered to these special groups, monthly expenditures total approximately JA $300,000.
This is supported by the generous gift-in-kind.

In 1993 the Paul Eldemire CUMI JMMB Trust Fund was established with a target of $15 million Jamaican Dollars ($15,000,000). The interest from the trust fund will sustain the basic portion of CUMI monthly expenditures. To date, we have achieved $11 million towards the target.

CUMI is sustained through on-going fund-raising, and contributions from the general society (individuals, churches, schools, service clubs, tourism, businesses, governmental and non-governmental organizations). CUMI is grateful for its international support and professional input. The clients contribute through the CUMI collection box and various income-generating projects.
